Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides top-notch care to patients and secures favorable outcomes by applying nursing expertise in a caring and effective manner. Operating with oversight, this position advances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care using the nursing process and collaboration with various disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the needs and conditions of patients in the designated unit to ensure that each patient receives the necessary and proper nursing care.
- Studies patient information, including medical records, test results, and current state, to design individualized nursing care plans.
- Implements nursing procedures like dispensing medication and therapies for delivering holistic and efficient patient services.
- Confirms the accuracy and alignment with regulations of medical records by reconciling them in accordance with organizational policies.
- Monitoring how patients respond to treatments and identifying any supplemental actions required to achieve specified care goals.
- Partners with a cross-functional care team to ensure cohesive care planning.
- Undertakes supplementary tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
