Overview:
The Audiologist II evaluates and recognizes individuals who have, or are in danger of having, hearing and auditory processing issues, with the goal of averting impairment and aiding in the best possible performance for patients. This role involves educating patients and their families, pinpointing further resources or treatment options through interaction with the healthcare provider who made the referral and the healthcare team. Complex scenarios may call for mentoring and advice, and transitioning to different environments for coverage may pose challenges for the individual in this role.
Responsibilities:
Assesses and cares for a wide range of diagnoses and patients with intricate conditions.
Assesses the physical capabilities, medical background, and functional restrictions of patients to create customized therapy strategies.
Determining the kind, extent, balance, endurance, and arrangement of hearing impairment.
Offers diagnostic hearing services to both children and adults, creating a treatment strategy to address and manage hearing issues and auditory processing disorders.
Utilizes suitable methods and technologies to offer thorough assessment and therapy to both hospitalized and non-hospitalized individuals who are suspected of having, prone to, or already diagnosed with hearing impairments.
Offers comprehensive education to patients, their families, and caregivers during the patient's treatment regimen.
Works together with others to create and execute discharge strategies and suggestions for ongoing treatment.
Observes and records patient's advancements, treatment results, and reactions to therapies to facilitate potential modifications to treatment strategies.
Works together with interdisciplinary teams from various departments to guarantee synchronized patient care and comprehensive treatment results.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
