Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering superior patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and proficient application of nursing knowledge. Under general oversight, this position plays a key role in promoting professional nursing practice by orchestrating patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with various healthcare disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews the specific needs and health conditions of patients within the assigned unit to deliver nursing services that meet the individual requirements of each patient.
- Studies patient data, comprising medical records, test results, and current health status, to devise individualized nursing care plans.
- Prepares nursing routines, such as medication administration and treatments, to provide comprehensive and effective patient support.
- Assesses medical documents to verify accuracy and ensure alignment with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Assess patient reactions to interventions and recognize any additional interventions needed to meet the defined care goals.
- Assists in collaborating with various specialties for comprehensive care planning.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
