- Maintains awareness of annual competencies, continuing education tasks, and regulatory guidelines to ensure alignment with safety and compliance policies.
- Shows proficiency in managing supplies efficiently and contributes to inventory supervision for the upkeep of a cost-conscious and fully equipped laboratory. Executes additional responsibilities as designated.
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in medical laboratory technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: 1 year working as a technologist in a hospital or similar physician office laboratory
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Certification or eligibility as Medical Laboratory Technician is required from ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists)
Medical Laboratory Technician with AMT (American Medical Technologists); Certification must be completed within one year from date of hire.
Preferred: ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists)
