Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) offers exceptional patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. This role operates under general supervision to promote professional nursing practice through the coordination of patient care using the nursing process and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Job Function:
- Examines patient needs and conditions within the assigned unit to deliver personalized nursing care that fulfills the unique requirements of every individual.
- Evaluates patient data, encompassing medical history, test results, and current health status, to establish specific nursing care plans.
- Develops strategies for nursing interventions, like administering medications and therapies, to offer well-rounded and efficient patient treatment.
- Checks medical records for accuracy and ensures they meet both regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Examines patient reactions to interventions and pinpoints any supplementary actions necessary to reach predetermined care targets.
- Cooperates with an interdisciplinary care team in developing effective care plans.
- Executes any other duties given.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
