Job Description
In the role of a Paramedic, individuals evaluate emergency medical systems and deliver aid during critical medical circumstances. They manage essential patient care and emergency responses, guarantee the timely completion of reports and documentation, and operate under general supervision in standard situations.
Essential Job Function:
- Checks emergency medical systems and protocols to validate their proper functioning and adherence to prescribed benchmarks.
- Sustains the precision and timeliness of emergency medical service reports and records to uphold accuracy.
- Manages employee inquiries and resolves issues by interpreting policies to provide guidance and reach resolutions.
- Coaches support junior-level staff in their development and advancement within the company.
- Retains a high level of competence in emergency medical techniques, therapies, and innovations to offer effective patient services.
- Carries out additional tasks as directed.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- ED/Occ Health: Required: 1 year of Paramedic experienceCarelink: Required: 3 years of EMS paramedic experience Carelink Transport positions, must have 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience. Carelink relief paramedics must have 5 years of EMS paramedic experience & 1 year of critical care transport experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Current valid NC Paramedic certificationBLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS - American Red Cross or Healthcare ProviderValid Driver's License If driving a CH vehicle must have minimum 5 years as a valid licensed driver with MVR must be approved by Risk Management. Carelink: Emergency Vehicle Operator's course completed within 1 year of hire
