Overview:
The primary duty of the Pastoral Education Coordinator is to manage the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program within the organization and ensure that it meets the standards established by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). This role involves analyzing the quality of spiritual care to propose enhancements to the CPE program by leveraging knowledge and concepts from psychology, religion, spirituality, and theology to support and uplift individuals from all faiths and cultural backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Handles all the administrative tasks associated with the CPE program, like recruiting, assessing accreditation, and filing reports.
Tracks and reviews student development by conducting assessments that are in line with ACPE standards in order to foster learning and progress.
Plays a role in shaping curricula and educational materials by analyzing student responses to the CPE program's content.
Guarantees compliance with ACPE accreditation criteria and regulatory prerequisites in pastoral education initiatives.
Engages with medical staff, multidisciplinary groups, and community collaborators to embed spiritual healing in patient healthcare programs.
Executes any other responsibilities as directed.
