Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified Acute Care plays a vital role in aiding pharmacists to offer services that are secure, effective, and economical. Under restricted supervision, this position ensures the standards of workflows, regulatory protocols, and diverse pharmacy operations are upheld.
Essential Job Function:
- Manages the functioning of the pharmacy, which involves tasks like mixing IV medications that are hazardous or non-hazardous, delivering medications following the latest guidelines, or gathering a comprehensive and correct medication background as per the organizational norms.
- Functions as a source of information for other pharmacy support staff.
- Plays a supportive role in aiding and instructing new hires as they acclimate to their roles within the company.
- Leads the way in executing improvements to processes and quality programs within the department.
- Maintains open and efficient communication with pharmacy staff, inside and outside of the department, to ensure top-notch customer service is consistently provided.
- Carries out any other responsibilities as delegated.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Required: 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
