Job Description
Overview:
The primary function of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide excellent patient care and ensure successful patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficacy. Operating with general guidance, this role promotes professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Scrutinizes patient needs and health status within the unit to ensure that nursing care is delivered appropriately and in alignment with individual requirements.
Reviews patient information, which encompasses medical histories, diagnostic outcomes, and present health conditions, to develop personalized nursing care plans.
Executes nursing practices, such as administering medications and performing treatments, to deliver comprehensive and beneficial patient care.
Ensures that medical records are aligned with regulatory requirements and internal policies for accuracy and compliance.
Evaluating how patients respond to interventions and pinpointing any further actions needed to achieve specified care objectives.
Works in coordination with an interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement holistic care plans.
Handles additional responsibilities as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
