Job Description

Overview:

In the role of the Registered Nurse (RN), the primary responsibility is to provide exceptional patient care and ensure positive patient outcomes by utilizing nursing expertise in a compassionate and efficient manner. Operating under general oversight, this position supports professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews patient conditions and healthcare needs within the allocated unit to deliver precise nursing interventions aimed at fulfilling each patient's care necessities effectively.
  • Studies patient information, which includes medical records, diagnostic findings, and current state of health, to design individualized nursing care plans.
  • Carries out nursing procedures, like administering medications and therapies, to offer thorough and effective patient care.
  • Observing patient reactions to interventions and pinpointing any supplementary interventions required to accomplish predetermined care goals. Engaging with various healthcare professionals to secure effective care planning.
  • Manages any other assignments as given.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse

Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

  • Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
