Job Description

EXPERIENCE:

Open to new graduates with specialty specific experience in nursing and/or clinicals

Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes patient evaluations, examines their medical backgrounds, and analyzes diagnostic test results to determine the most effective treatment plan.
  • Executes proactive health screenings considering the patient's age, medical background, and unique needs to deliver preventive healthcare measures.
  • Educates patients and their relatives on medical diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up requirements.
  • Manages the documentation of patient care to uphold the accuracy of patient medical records.
  • Administers medical procedures according to the guidelines and clinical functions of the department.
  • Improves patient care by evaluating clinical and system issues and implementing solutions to enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Completes other assignments as instructed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.

EXPERIENCE:Required: none Preferred: 3+ years

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

  • Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
  • Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
  • IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
