Job Description
In the capacity of an Application Analyst, one supports clinical and business applications by providing technical guidance to enhance their efficiency and meet organizational needs. This role involves collaborating with users to understand their requirements, as well as implementing, improving, and resolving issues related to clinical and business applications.
Essential Job Function
- Collaborates closely with internal and external technical specialists and end user teams to confirm that applications and other third-party systems satisfy the organization's clinical and business requirements throughout the system development and integration phases.
- Aids in scrutinizing the operational patterns of end-user divisions, assembling data, determining report specifications, and dealing with technical challenges that impact the design and building resolutions; conducts a comprehensive evaluation, encompassing qualitative and quantitative aspects, of the data and information collated during the elicitation of application prerequisites; comprehends and converts the business and clinical operations into configuring systems and affirming workflow procedures.
- Provides assistance in devising, coordinating, and carrying out test scripts for a range of testing phases including application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Follows departmental protocols by documenting test results, design details, change tracking, system glitches, and internal operational methods.
- Assists with the triage and troubleshooting of intricate applications to ensure smooth functioning and user satisfaction.
- Oversees the systems to guarantee the quality, efficiency, functioning, and reliability of data, escalating problems appropriately.
- Learns and sustains awareness of novel technical concepts and solutions, utilizing them in healthcare settings and supporting the incorporation and upkeep of third-party systems.
- Supports in the linkage of applications with diverse cross-functional systems within the company.
- Undertakes supplementary tasks as directed.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Experience
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the time frame specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
