Overview:
The Athletic Trainer Outreach role collaborates in assessing, healing, and restoring fitness-related injuries under physician guidance and directive. This position performs independently and in partnership with medical practitioners to deliver continuous care, establish injury prevention and management plans for sports professionals. Responsibilities include supervising daily training and event activities, overseeing injury care, coordinating administrative functions, introducing sports performance initiatives, and maintaining precise documentation. The role operates as a crucial intermediary within the Sports Medicine team, acting as a channel of communication between general practitioners, specialists, school systems, athletes, and their families. The job entails non-traditional work hours, necessitating availability during evenings and weekends to support athletic competitions and events.

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training OR Physical Education w/ Athletic Training emphasis Preferred: Master's of Science in Athletic Training

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
NATABOC Certification (National Athletic Trainers Association - Board of Certification); LAT - Licensed Athletic Trainer by NC Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
