- The main responsibility of the Clinical Social Worker II is to provide social work assistance to patients and their families to address psychosocial and clinical needs, with PRN/Relief duties not included. Coaching staff, patients, and families on vital care-related information for enhanced understanding and functioning as a link between all parties engaged. Devising a treatment plan for patients with little input from medical professionals to ensure proper care administration. Enlightening staff, patients, and families about essential care details to facilitate better comprehension and communication among all involved.
- Delivers crisis intervention and guidance during intense incidents to support employees, families, and individuals by leveraging clinical skills to reassure everyone in high-stress situations, providing explanations that aid in lowering the anxieties of patients and their loved ones.
- Delivers clinical support services to patients and their families in order to fulfill current and anticipated psychosocial and medical necessities.
- Conducts a detailed psychosocial evaluation of patients in order to identify the most appropriate care options that align with their medical and social status.
- Utilizes a variety of counseling and therapy approaches to support the patient and their family in feeling comfortable and reassured about clinical and medical procedures.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as instructed.
Education:
- Required: Master of Social Work (MSW).
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in a health-related environment.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Required: BLS certification.
