Job Description

As the Manager of Employee Benefits, one must aid in formulating and implementing health, welfare, and retirement plan strategies. They are tasked with executing programs that uphold these strategies and ensuring that the benefits package offered is competitive within the industry, complies with regulations, caters to the organization's dynamic needs, and strengthens the company's employee value proposition. Moreover, this position involves overseeing the implementation and management of employee benefits programs within the firm.

Essential Job Function

  • Works alongside the Total Rewards Director and VP of People Operations to create and implement corporate benefits programs that are in sync with the company's strategic aims.
  • Keeps abreast of the prevailing national benefits setting and gives knowledgeable suggestions and support to top executives concerning alternatives and cost-effectiveness in relation to employee benefits and work-life matters.
  • Promotes efficient dialogue between team members and selected vendors overseeing outsourced benefits schemes to ensure that employees' queries and concerns receive proper resolutions.
  • Oversees the professional and support staff in the Benefits and Reward & Recognition divisions to verify the correctness of employee benefits data in the HRIS platform to facilitate benefits assessment, HR and financial reporting, and corporate analysis.
  • Collaborates with cross-disciplinary groups to create health insurance packages and ensure that benefits are in line with the requirements of the workforce in terms of wellness, communication, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Manages the development and execution of the Rewards & Recognition strategy within the organization.
  • Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as needed.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree

Experience

  • Required: 5 years of benefits experience with progressive leadership responsibilities

Licensure/Certification/Listing

  • Preferred: SHRM-(S)CP, (S)PHR, CHHR or CEBS
