Job Description
In the role of Nursing Secretary NT I Plus 3, individuals assist the Registered Nurse by documenting patient conditions and assisting with activities of daily living, as well as supporting patient mobility under direct supervision.
Essential Job Function:
- Provides aid to patients in performing basic tasks like meal preparation, self-care, and gradual physical activity to facilitate their healing process.
- Conducts an analysis of patients' quality of life in relation to their dietary habits, hydration levels, and excretory functions to plan for the allocation of resources and forecast potential patient needs.
- Accepts, shifts, and releases patients to facilitate their transition to suitable destinations as per the care plan.
- Offers assistance in dealing with patient elimination requirements, which may involve tasks like ostomy support, enema provision, and the use of condom catheters for patient well-being.
- Aiding in the management of unit inventories of supplies and equipment is crucial to uphold a sanitary and secure atmosphere as per the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Verifies that individuals prone to falling have the proper armbands, socks, and signage to safeguard their physical well-being.
- Executes tasks as directed.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year of related experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
