JOB DETAILS: Position located in Burlington, salary-based and not entitled to overtime pay, one full-time equivalent role requiring 40 hours of work per week during regular business hours from Monday to Friday. Essential Job Function:
- Undertakes patient physical examinations, assesses their medical records, and interprets test outcomes to administer suitable patient care.
- Utilizes preventive health assessments customized to the patient's age, medical history, and personal health requirements to offer early intervention.
- Offers guidance to patients and their loved ones on surgical specialty care, including details on medical conditions, therapies, and aftercare.
- Manages documentation of each patient's care to uphold the accuracy of their healthcare records.
- Executes surgical specialty services in compliance with departmental directives and clinical obligations.
- By addressing clinical and systemic issues, improvements can be made in the delivery of patient care within the surgical specialty through thorough assessment and problem-solving techniques.
- Executes any other responsibilities as directed.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
Experience
- Required: None Preferred: 3+ years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license. Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavioral Health Advance Practice Provider
