Overview:
The Physical Therapist II assesses the health status of patients, creates customized intervention strategies, and administers therapeutic measures to enhance their functional capacities. This role demonstrates proficiency in managing patients within the clinical environment and carries out physical therapy duties independently. This professional initiates dialogues with colleagues from various fields, handles familiar cases competently, and stands up for both patients and the team. In complex scenarios, this role might need mentoring and could be asked to work in different locations if necessary.
This position will float between acute care (at Wesley Long and Moses Cone) and inpatient rehab (at Moses Cone).
Responsibilities:
Assesses and manages a wide range of diagnoses and challenging cases.
Assesses patient's physical capacities, medical backgrounds, and functional restrictions to devise personalized therapy strategies.
Conducts therapeutic activities and implements physical therapy techniques to enhance patients' muscle strength, adaptability, and motion range.
Instructs patients and their families regarding treatment strategies, home physical activities, and self-care methods to enhance the rehabilitation process.
Works together with others to create and execute plans for discharge and suggestions for ongoing treatment.
Observes and records patients' advancements, treatment results, and reactions to actions to enable modifications to be made to treatment strategies if necessary.
Works together with cross-functional team members from various departments to guarantee seamless patient care and comprehensive treatment results.
Carries out additional tasks as requested.
