Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering superior patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and proficient application of nursing knowledge. Under general oversight, this position plays a key role in promoting professional nursing practice by orchestrating patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with various healthcare disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the patient's requirements and condition within the assigned department to ensure the delivery of nursing care that is tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.
- Studies patient data, comprising medical records, test results, and current health status, to devise individualized nursing care plans.
- Coordinates nursing processes, such as medication delivery and treatments, to deliver comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Matches medical records to ensure precision and alignment with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Assessing the patient's response to interventions and pinpointing any further actions required to achieve specified care objectives.
- Assists in collaborating with various specialties for comprehensive care planning.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
