Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Procedures is responsible for supporting interventional medical procedures by delivering constant patient supervision and utilizing nursing practices grounded in proven research. Playing a crucial part in ensuring patient safety, the RN aids in delivering consistent, top-tier care. In cases of challenging clinical situations, the RN effectively communicates concerns and seeks input from experienced clinical leadership. This role involves being on call to handle emergency procedures during nighttime hours, weekends, and designated holidays, with a rotational pattern of three weeks on call followed by one week off. Except for assigned holiday call shifts, no regular daytime hours are expected on weekdays.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient needs and health conditions within the assigned area to administer nursing care that is tailored to meet the specific requirements of each patient.
- Evaluates patient details, comprising medical records, test outcomes, and existing health status, to formulate personalized nursing care blueprints.
- Executes nursing protocols, including medication dispensation and therapies, to deliver comprehensive patient support.
- Aligns medical records to ensure they are precise and in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Reviews the way patients respond to therapies and pinpoints additional interventions necessary to reach specified care goals.
- Collaborates with a cross-functional healthcare team to establish efficient care plans.
- Executes any other assigned responsibilities.
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
