Job Description
Overview:
A key responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to administer high-caliber patient care and ensure positive patient results by compassionately and efficiently applying nursing expertise. While under general guidance, this position enhances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and engaging in interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates the health conditions and care necessities of patients within the designated unit to provide nursing assistance that is tailored to each individual's unique medical needs.
Examines patient records, diagnostic information, and current well-being to establish personalized nursing interventions.
Executes nursing activities like medication administration and therapies to ensure optimal patient care.
Aligns healthcare records to guarantee precision and compliance with industry standards and institutional procedures.
Assesses patient responses to interventions and pinpoints any further actions required to meet defined care objectives.
Engages with an interdisciplinary team to optimize care planning strategies.
Executes any other tasks as deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
