Overview:
The Supervisor Radiology Technologist oversees and organizes the tasks of the radiology technologists with the aim of delivering top-notch imaging services for the identification and management of illnesses. This position entails managing the timetable, education, and assessments of the radiology technologists, guaranteeing smooth operations and precise diagnostic outcomes. The Supervisor Radiology Technologist's duties are crucial in offering direction, upholding patient well-being, and upholding superior imaging quality and patient services.
Responsibilities:
Oversees and directs the day-to-day activities, employee shifts, work processes, and care provided to patients in order to guarantee the smooth and productive administration of radiology services.
Ensuring employee time sheets are accurately and promptly completed in the time entry system, along with offering staff coaching, corrective measures, and performance evaluations for compliance with labor laws and the cultivation of a competent and engaged staff.
Conducts regular and specific tests according to set procedures, decreasing the necessity for extra scans to lower radiation exposure and enhance diagnostic precision.
Ensures precise completion of all exams and paperwork within the specified system, recognizing the corresponding fees linked to procedures to guarantee accurate billing and data consistency, aiding financial processes and quality assessments.
Successfully fulfills all necessary annual competencies within the set timeline to uphold professional proficiency and comply with regulatory requirements.
Oversees the ACR Accreditation for the American College of Radiology, which involves evaluating equipment and implementing quality assurance measures regularly to uphold accreditation criteria and showcase the department's dedication to excellence and compliance with the top imaging practices.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
