Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is dedicated to delivering excellent patient care and securing successful patient results by applying nursing expertise with compassion and efficacy. Under general guidance, this position fosters professional nursing practices by arranging patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts among different specialties.
Essential Job Function
- Evaluates the needs and medical conditions of patients in the assigned department to administer tailored nursing support and ensure optimal patient care.
- Examines patient records, which encompass medical background, diagnostic findings, and existing health status, to devise customized nursing strategies.
- Creates nursing protocols for activities like giving medications and carrying out treatments in order to offer complete and efficient patient support.
- Verifies medical records to maintain precision and alignment with legal requirements and internal protocols.
- Examines the way patients respond to actions taken and recognizes the requirement for additional interventions to accomplish specified care goals.
- Collaborates effectively with a multidisciplinary team to plan for efficient care.
- Carries out tasks as delegated.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
