Job Description
Applications are open to recent graduates and experienced therapists! The Physical Therapist II evaluates the conditions of patients, creates personalized treatment strategies, and carries out therapeutic interventions to improve functional capacities. This role is competent in treating all patients effectively and promptly in their clinical setting and performing all duties of a physical therapist autonomously. The role involves starting conversations among members of interdisciplinary teams, treating familiar patients with certainty, and supporting both patients and the team. Independent practice in the main setting is essential for this role, while support or guidance may be required in intricate situations or when shifting to different settings might pose difficulties.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates and manages patients with intricate medical conditions and various diagnoses.
- Undertakes comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, medical backgrounds, and functional restrictions in order to establish customized treatment strategies.
- Implements exercises and interventions in physical therapy to enhance patients' physical capabilities and increase their range of motion.
- Instructs patients and their families about treatment regimens, exercises to do at home, and strategies for self-care to promote better rehabilitation results.
- Engages in collaboration with colleagues to establish and carry out discharge plans and proposals for further care.
- Observes and records the development of patients, effectiveness of treatments, and reactions to interventions for the purpose of potential adjustments in treatment plans.
- Partners with cross-functional groups to secure synchronized patient care and comprehensive therapy effects.
- Supports in orienting and educating new team members, displaying a continuous effort to enhance the competency and effectiveness of coworkers.
- Executes any other responsibilities given.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Experience
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
