Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC, invites candidates to join the outpatient team focusing on pelvic health, providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment services. Patients receive individualized 45-minute sessions without the presence of support staff, accompanied by the opportunity for onsite guidance from an experienced clinical specialist. The role adheres to a schedule comprising of four 10-hour days or a 9-hour workday from Monday to Thursday with a reduced shift on Fridays, ensuring a favorable work-life balance - free from weekend or holiday obligations. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients referred for pelvic health physical therapy, supporting their rehabilitation progress towards optimal functionality, and collaborating with healthcare colleagues to ensure the delivery of top-notch patient care.
The Physical Therapist II examines patients' conditions, formulates tailored treatment plans, and administers healing interventions to enhance their functional performance. This role is proficient in managing all patients within their clinical practice environment and fulfilling physical therapy duties with minimal supervision. It involves instigating communication among interdisciplinary team members, treating known patients with confidence, and advocating for both patients and the team. Independent practice is required in the primary setting, with occasional support necessary for complex or overlapping situations.
Responsibilities:
- Offers diagnosis and treatment services for a diverse patient population, including those with complicated medical conditions.
- Assesses patients thoroughly to analyze their physical abilities, medical histories, and functional restrictions in order to devise personalized intervention plans.
- Conducts therapeutic activities and exercises in physical therapy to help enhance patients' range of motion, strength, and flexibility.
- Guides patients and their families in understanding treatment procedures, home-based exercises, and self-administered techniques to enhance the effectiveness of recovery.
- Collaborates with a team to devise and implement discharge strategies and care follow-up suggestions.
- Monitors and records patients' improvement, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions to facilitate potential adaptations to treatment plans.
- Teams up with colleagues from diverse departments to ensure integrated patient care and comprehensive treatment effectiveness.
- - Completes supplementary assignments as directed.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
