Job Description
The key role of a Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide high-quality patient care and ensure positive patient results by employing nursing knowledge with compassion and effectiveness. Under general supervision, this role supports professional nursing standards by organizing patient care using the nursing process and fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Job Function
- Reviews the healthcare needs and medical situations of patients in the designated area in order to administer nursing care accordingly and ensure that each patient's needs are met adequately.
- Assesses patient details, such as health records, test results, and present health status, to establish tailored nursing care approaches.
- Carries out nursing actions, including administering medicine and procedures, to offer complete and efficient patient support.
- Aligns medical documentation with regulatory standards and organizational protocols for accuracy and compliance.
- Reviews patient reactions to interventions and recognizes any supplementary actions needed to reach specified care goals.
- Engages with various specialists to facilitate optimal care planning.
- Carries out supplementary duties as directed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
