Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides exceptional patient care and secures positive patient outcomes by implementing nursing knowledge with compassion and proficiency. Working under broad supervision, this position advances professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and cooperation among various disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Examines patient needs and health statuses within the designated unit to provide nursing care that is individualized and meets the specific requirements of each patient.
- Assesses patient information, comprising medical history, diagnostic tests, and present health condition, to design personalized nursing care plans.
- Carries out nursing procedures like medication administration and treatments to render comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Matches medical documentation to ensure its accuracy and compliance with both regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Examining the patient's response to interventions and recognizing any additional actions needed to meet the specified care goals.
- Partners with professionals from different fields to ensure optimal care planning.
- Completes any other tasks that may be delegated.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
