Overview:
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist CL is a skilled radiologic technologist who provides assistance to physicians during minimally invasive procedures that entail the use of instruments that are guided through a patient's organs and blood vessels. Under the close supervision of physicians, this position conducts various procedures like angioplasties, biopsies, stentings, and image-guided thermal ablations. The successful candidate will be required to arrange sterile equipment trays, ensure proper patient positioning during the radiologic procedures, assist with the operation of fluoroscopic equipment, and capture images as required.
Responsibilities:
The conduction of minimally invasive examinations in accordance with pre-established protocols to reduce the need for extra imaging and maintain radiation levels as low as possible.
Implements and upholds safety measures and routine equipment checks for interventional radiology machinery to sustain accurate and dependable imaging output for surgical interventions.
As an aid during interventional procedures, the assistant provides imaging support in real-time to help position devices and interventions accurately for radiologists and other medical personnel.
All exams and necessary paperwork for Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) are flawlessly accomplished by identifying correct charges and resolving discrepancies to optimize workflow.
Provides aid in patient transportation to ensure seamless delivery of care and assist patients during procedures.
Carries out additional tasks as directed to.
