Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist Weekend Option is responsible for conducting medical exams with diagnostic imaging techniques like X-rays to produce visual images of specific areas of the body. The images are analyzed by physicians to diagnose and manage illnesses. The role requires the individual to prepare the patients, shift them into the proper position, oversee the machines, and utilize their expertise to lessen the quantity of radiation given to the patient. Furthermore, the position has a weekend possibility in which the worker must meet the WEO requirements and labor two shifts inside the WEO timeframe for a higher rate.
Responsibilities:
Complies with the medical professionals' requests to determine the specific part of the patient's anatomy that requires imaging.
Explains the procedure to the patient in a way that is easy to understand and alleviates their fears.
The patient is accurately positioned by the imaging specialist to capture high-quality images of specific body parts using the designated equipment.
Protects both patients and healthcare providers from unnecessary radiation.
Maintains strict adherence to standard protocols, including patient shielding techniques, to ensure accurate and dependable delivery of diagnostic imaging services.
Accurate records are an essential component of any medical facility. Therefore, it is important to complete all the necessary documentation for each procedure to ensure that patient records are complete and comprehensive.
