Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-caliber patient care and ensuring favorable patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient requirements and medical status within the allocated unit to provide individualized nursing interventions that cater to each patient's distinct care needs.
- Scrutinizes patient data, such as medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and present condition, to develop specific nursing care plans.
- Reviews medical records to validate correctness and adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal regulations.
- Monitoring how patients respond to treatments and recognizing the requirement for additional interventions to accomplish predetermined care goals. Cooperating with a multidisciplinary team to secure successful care planning.
- Completes any other duties as allocated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
