Overview:
Providing a patient-centered and cost-effective service while adhering to regulatory and professional standards is a responsibility of this role. To achieve this, Radiology leadership, radiologists, and medical staff must be collaboratively involved. Approved workflows and procedural protocols are followed by the position when caring for patients undergoing Diagnostic Radiology procedures. A full understanding of Diagnostic Radiology equipment is required for Radiologic Technologists in this position. Additionally, they are authorized to take charge and administer contrast media in compliance with radiology processes and procedures. The Radiology department ensures that competencies are completed.
Responsibilities:
Conducts standard and specialized exams in accordance with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation exposure to as low as reasonably achievable.
Proactively ensures the accurate completion of exams and documentation consistent with CHL and PACS regulations. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail in identifying charges related to studies and resolving any issues or errors related to PACS.
Displays an unwavering commitment to safe practices and upholding Just Culture values. Prioritizes the Two for Two protocol for accurate patient identification, follows established procedures to prevent laterality errors, minimize fall risk, and maintain ALARA principles. Successfully completes all mandatory annual competencies within the stated deadline.
By introducing themselves, explaining procedures, and thanking customers for their business, service providers can create a welcoming environment that promotes customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Renders aid in the transportation of patients when necessary.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.
