Job Description
Overview:
The Application Analyst Intermediate offers specialized technical support for intricate clinical and/or business applications to enhance their functionality and guarantee alignment with the organization's requirements. With limited supervision, this position is responsible for collecting, assessing, and reviewing user requirements and managing the implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and issue resolution of clinical and/or business applications.
Preference for EPIC Grand Central/Prelude Certification is significant
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with both internal and external technical teams and end users is essential to ensure that applications and third-party systems align with the clinical and business requirements of the organization during the system development and implementation process.
- Conducts thorough examinations of end user department processes, data gathering, report specifications, and technical concerns regarding design and construction choices. This includes intricate evaluations of qualitative and quantitative data and information gathered during the application needs assessment phase.
- Interprets and converts the operational and medical features into the setup and procedures of the system.
- Creates and implements test scripts for various types of testing such as application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Records testing outcomes, project blueprints, modification management, technical issues, and operational protocols in alignment with organizational guidelines.
- Offers assistance with the technical use of complex applications, conducts triage and troubleshooting tasks, and actively monitors systems to ensure data quality, efficiency, operational functionality, and data integrity, promptly escalating any identified issues.
- Stays informed about emerging technical ideas and solutions relevant to the healthcare industry. Aids in the deployment and maintenance of external software platforms.
- Offers the needed expertise and understanding to guarantee seamless integration of all application elements with other cross-functional applications used within the organization.
- Carries out additional tasks as required.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Experience
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
