Overview:
In the realm of healthcare, Registered Nurses (RNs) play a crucial role in delivering top-notch patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and proficient application of nursing knowledge. In this capacity, they function under general oversight to champion professional nursing practice by orchestrating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative endeavors with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the needs and medical conditions of patients in the assigned unit to provide individualized nursing interventions and assistance.
- Reviews patient information, encompassing medical history, test results, and current health status, to establish tailored nursing care plans.
- Confirms the accuracy and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions and identifies any additional measures needed to achieve defined care goals.
- Works jointly with interdisciplinary caregivers to establish effective care strategies.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as mandated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
