Job Description
Overview:
In the role of a Registered Nurse (RN), the focus is on delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes by employing nursing expertise with compassion and efficiency. Working under general oversight, this position enhances professional nursing standards by overseeing patient care using the nursing process and fostering collaboration among different specialties.
Responsibilities:
Examines patient needs and health conditions on the assigned unit to guarantee that nursing care is carried out effectively and every patient's needs are met.
Evaluates patient information, which incorporates medical backgrounds, diagnostic reports, and current well-being, to formulate customized nursing care plans.
Executes nursing protocols, including the distribution of medications and application of treatments, to ensure holistic and impactful patient care.
Checks medical records for accuracy and compliance with both regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Monitoring the patient's reaction to treatments and recognizing any extra interventions necessary to meet defined care goals.
Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to create personalized care plans for patients.
Performs supplemental duties as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
