Job Description
Overview:
The Nurse Technician Observer Float System Wide supports the Registered Nurse by monitoring and noting patient situations. Working closely monitored, this position aids in patient care by assisting with daily activities and promoting mobility on a gradual basis. The main aim of this position is to help establish a secure environment for patients who might be at risk of self-harming or suicidal behaviors.
Responsibilities:
- Providing aid to clients in their daily living needs, like dining, personal hygiene, and incremental mobility to aid in their recuperation and care regime.
- Assesses the impact of diet, hydration, and waste elimination on patients' overall quality of life to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and anticipation of patient requirements.
- Executes the process of admitting, shifting, and releasing patients to align them with the planned course of care.
- Aids patients in addressing elimination concerns by offering services like ostomy care, enema assistance, and condom catheter application to support their comfort and care.
- Contributing to the supervision of unit inventories for supplies and equipment to secure a tidy and secure space as per the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Confirms that patients susceptible to falling have been provided with suitable wristbands, socks, and warnings to maintain their physical security.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as needed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Nurse Aide I, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
