Overview:
The faculty doctor collaborates within a team to promote exceptional patient care, exceptional teaching, and influential research. Faculty members play a crucial role in promoting these three key objectives by fulfilling all necessary responsibilities and activities.
Responsibilities:
Teaching and Education
Provision of educational conferences for residents, faculty, students and teams to include Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, Noon Conferences, Medical Student Lectures, Clinical Improvement Conferences, Board Review sessions and others as assigned. Mentoring of medical students, APP students and residents. Provide clinical supervision to students and residents on rotations as assigned.
Clinical
Deliver patient care in diverse clinical environments as designated.
Intellectual Studies and Exploration
It is essential for faculty to motivate and provide assistance to residents in scholarly endeavors such as submitting abstracts, displaying posters, delivering oral presentations, and writing case reports. Faculty members must construct and sustain a culture that fosters inquiry and academic achievement, with an active research element playing a key role. This might involve collaborating with others and getting involved in endorsed research undertakings.
Administrative
Work together with leadership to create fresh rotation or educational opportunities for students and residents.
Institutional Citizenship
Contribute to the collective efforts aimed at increasing access, cutting costs, raising quality standards, and enhancing efficiency for better health results. This might involve involvement in community initiatives and attending professional functions to aid in program advancement and fostering professional ties. It is also vital for each team member to focus on accurate and timely documentation, patient happiness, and the satisfaction of referring physicians.
AHEC
Take part in AHEC activities as needed to fulfill the mission of the NC AHEC Program.

Experience in teaching or perception medical residents or medical students.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Active NC Medical License
Board certification in specialty
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Valid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
