Job Description
The Health Economics Intern program at Cone Health is a hands-on opportunity for students to support strategic endeavors within multiple sectors including Workforce Performance, Philanthropy, and Financial Planning. Interns will contribute to the operational procedures, assist in data examination, and assist in directing projects aimed at improving employee engagement, donor connections, and system-wide enhancement activities. This internship is well-suited for individuals who wish to gain exposure to healthcare operations, data analysis, and collaborative efforts among various departments.
The available internship role is strictly temporary, with an established start date for orientation scheduled on.Interns are expected to dedicate up to 250 hours of work throughout this timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile, evaluate, and encapsulate data regarding the efficiency of programs, changes in the workforce landscape, and the formulation of strategic initiatives.
- Engage in partnerships with departments within the organization and external associates to execute campaigns, programs, and unique ventures.
- Skillfully juggle various tasks and priorities at the same time.
- Help with the advancement, deployment, and supervision of internal projects, functions, and efforts to retain staff.
- Aid in the management of databases, creating reports, and documenting critical workflows.
- Create informational materials and slideshows aimed at company leaders and those with a stake in the business.
- Exploring best practices in an industry entails examining the most effective and efficient methods or strategies that lead to optimal results.
- Manage the planning and implementation of logistics for various gatherings, meetings, and program launches.
- Carry out any other responsibilities as directed by the supervisor or project head.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in healthcare, nonprofit work, business, or systems improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

- Ability to listen empathetically and organize information logically.
Education
- Required: Must be in process of a college-level degree in a related field and a student in good standing.Applicants must be at least the age of 16 to be employed as Cone Health High School-level interns (work-authorization required).
- Junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
