Overview:
The Supervisor Clinical Acute Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the daily functions of the unit/department to ensure efficient patient care delivery. Their responsibilities include supervising personnel and overseeing patient care within the designated unit/department. The individual in this role is tasked with recognizing and attaining program objectives and results, all while upholding regulatory and professional guidelines. They are also responsible for promoting a cost-efficient, innovative, and patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process for planning, executing, and assessing patient care.
Collaborates with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals to create, modify, and record a care plan that encompasses discharge arrangements.
Delivers interventions consistently while prioritizing patient dignity, privacy, and safety, as well as educating colleagues on nursing procedures, record-keeping, and clinical pathways.
Assists in finishing performance evaluations and creates or contributes to creating the departmental timetable, overseeing daily staffing activities.
Assists in developing the annual budget and overseeing the monitoring and upholding of departmental cost-control initiatives.
Implements the quality improvement/quality assurance program for the department and encourages staff involvement in PI/QI initiatives.
Identifies chances for quality improvement processes, engages in creating and executing the plans for these procedures.
Helps in establishing and maintaining cooperative connections, such as facilitating staff conflict resolution.
Oversees and supervises continuous operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Carries out additional responsibilities as required.
