Job Description
The RN's main focus is on providing high-quality patient care and securing favorable patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient use of nursing knowledge. With oversight from superiors, this position advocates for professional nursing practices by organizing patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with various healthcare professionals.
Essential Job Function
- Examines patient needs and medical conditions in the assigned unit to offer nursing care and ensure that each patient obtains the appropriate and personalized attention required.
- Studies patient data, such as medical records, diagnostic tests, and current condition, to design individualized nursing care plans.
- Administers medications and treatments as part of nursing procedures to ensure thorough and efficient patient care delivery.
- Confirming that medical records are both accurate and in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Examines the patient's response to treatments and identifies the requirement for further interventions to accomplish established care goals.
- Participates in a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated and effective care planning.
- Carries out additional tasks as required.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
