The role involves being a fundamental part of the psychiatry residency program's faculty, overseeing a group of 16 residents. Responsibilities:

The role involves making independent diagnostic and treatment decisions for patients, developing treatment plans, and overseeing the interdisciplinary team's actions to achieve patient care goals. Upholding the professional standards of MCHS, including Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, and practice standards, is a key aspect of the position. Participation in medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and investigations to ensure adherence to professional care standards is also required. Continuous improvement and the use of evidence-based practices are encouraged to enhance healthcare outcomes significantly.
