Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for administering excellent patient care and guaranteeing favorable patient results by employing nursing knowledge with compassion and effectiveness. Operating with moderate supervision, this position supports the enhancement of professional nursing practices by managing patient care via the nursing process and collaborating with multiple disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates the needs and medical conditions of patients in the allocated unit to administer nursing treatment effectively and ensure that all patients receive the specific care they require.
- Assesses patient records, encompassing medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and ongoing health status, in order to formulate personalized nursing care blueprints.
- Organizes nursing procedures, like giving medicines and carrying out therapies, to deliver all-encompassing and efficient care to patients.
- Verifies medical records for precision and adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring the way patients respond to medical actions and determining if more interventions are necessary to fulfill established care objectives.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance care plan effectiveness.
- Executes any other responsibilities as designated.
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
