Job Description
Overview:
The Student Ultrasound Assistant works closely with department leaders to ensure compliance with regulatory and professional guidelines and demonstrate effective decision-making skills. Collaborating with Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Services leadership, cardiologists, and medical personnel is essential to deliver patient-centered care. The primary duty of this role is to assist in cardiovascular ultrasound procedures following established workflows and procedural guidelines. Student assistants in cardiovascular ultrasound are expected to show a comprehensive understanding of Ultrasound equipment.
Responsibilities:
Under close supervision, carries out standard and specific examinations following set protocols to reduce the need for repeat tests. The examination efficiency meets the predetermined standard.
Completes all examinations and paperwork in CHL and PACS under immediate supervision.
Consistently and accurately recognizes all fees linked to research projects as instructed.
Provides solutions for rectifying and handling the problems associated with transmitting study findings to PACS.
Consistently show dedication to following departmental safety regulations while under direct supervision. Display exceptional customer service and effectively handle service recovery situations.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 0-1 years in Healthcare-Ultrasound Training
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
