Job Description
Spearheading the management of cloud-centric platforms, the Cloud Engineer Lead is responsible for supervising the development and sustainability of cloud-based frameworks to enhance the efficiency and security of the business. Through their proficiency and insights, the Cloud Engineer Lead guarantees that the cloud infrastructure aligns with the most recent cloud tools, technologies, and industry best practices to streamline the system according to the organization's demands.
Essential Job Function:
- Takes charge of analyzing the organization's cloud framework to enhance its ability to cater to applications and infrastructure on both IaaS and PaaS systems.
- Acknowledges the requirement and establishment of top-notch cloud strategies across the institution based on present data demands, leading to prosperous deployment.
- Manages the assessment of cloud hardware, software, and applications to verify data security and the inclusion of security management and privacy standards.
- Provides recommendations to junior professionals on the optimal approach to testing, deploying, and assessing cloud infrastructure through relevant specialized infrastructure tools and techniques.
- Provides guidance on mitigating complex security issues in cloud-based systems.
- Keeps abreast of current cloud offerings, advancements, and optimal strategies.
- Acts as a liaison for team communication to encourage collaboration and boost productivity.
- Manages the tracking and surveillance of cloud expenditures aligned with cost management frameworks.
- Guides the advancement, maintenance, and paperwork associated with Disaster Recovery plans for hybrid cloud operations.
- Providing guidance on budget allocations for enterprise hybrid cloud infrastructure and engaging in the oversight of costs associated with present tools and resources.
- Completes tasks as directed.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Required: 7 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Cloud Architect Certificate
