Cone Health Urgent Care is actively recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider to join the expanding Urgent Care division at Elmsley Square. With its inauguration in December 2019, this 1,500-sq ft, 4-exam room facility is strategically integrated with Cone Health Primary Care at Elmsley Square for the convenience of patients seeking comprehensive medical assistance.
As an integral team member, you will join forces with a dedicated clinical team comprised of nurses, certified medical assistants, radiology technologists, and patient access representatives. Convenient access to point-of-care testing and imaging services is ensured within the facility.

Job Details:
- 80 hours (7 shifts) every 2 weeks
- Hours of Operations for Urgent Care Reidsville: 8 am – 8 pm Monday – Friday; 8 am – 4 pm Saturday & Sunday

Responsibilities:
- Assesses patients through physical examinations conducted in the office, examines their medical backgrounds, and interprets the results of diagnostic tests to administer appropriate treatments.
- Undertakes preventive health checks customized to the patient's age, health background, and distinctive requirements for proactive health management.
- Educates patients and their relatives on the specifics of complex medical conditions, therapies, and post-care instructions.
- Documents all patient care data accurately to secure consistent and precise patient history records among various offices.
- Conducts office-based specialized medical interventions adhering to departmental protocols and clinical functions.
- Evaluates clinical and system challenges to enhance outpatient specialty care by implementing problem-solving strategies.
- Executes supplementary duties as designated.

Required:
Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: 3+ years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
- Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
- Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
- IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
