In routine circumstances, the Group Exercise Instructor plays a role in guiding group exercise sessions for employees, patients, and members. This position involves working under supervision to collaborate with participants in conducting fitness classes and establishing a secure and inclusive exercise environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in conducting group workout sessions aimed at enhancing the overall health of those involved.
  • Provides guidance on educating individuals regarding the proper form, body mechanics, and adjustments of exercise techniques to foster a secure and productive workout experience.
  • Provides a safe environment for participants utilizing the fitness equipment within the establishment.
  • Alters sessions to meet the assorted fitness levels of attendees, with the aim of ensuring that all individuals are able to take advantage of the class.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the group fitness studio to sustain a good reputation with customers.
  • Performs tasks beyond regular responsibilities.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

A nationally accredited certification from a recognized organization or equivalent specialty certification such as ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, or Yoga Alliance

BLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provder
