Job Description
Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty is responsible for undertaking specific duties to support pharmacists in delivering secure, productive, and economical services. Operating with limited oversight, this position helps in managing the flow of work, supplies, financial transactions, and other operational tasks within the pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
Fulfills and documents requests, responds to calls, and dispenses medications to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Assists in the organization and upkeep of inventory.
Acts as a source of information for fellow pharmacy technicians.
Assists in guiding employees during training and onboarding programs.
Takes charge of leading and executing enhancements in processes and quality initiatives within the department.
Provides exceptional customer service to all patients.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:

Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 2 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
