Job Description
Overview:
The role of the Nursing Technician is to help the Registered Nurse by tracking and noting changes in patient conditions. This position involves providing physical support to patients in enhancing their mobility and helping them with daily tasks with supervision.
Responsibilities:
Assists individuals with daily living activities, like eating, personal grooming, and advancing physical mobility to help with their recuperation and care plan.
Analyzes patient's quality of life regarding nutrition, hydration, and elimination to distribute resources efficiently and anticipate patient requirements.
Oversees the admission, transfer, and discharge procedures to enable patients to be relocated according to their care plans.
Helps with clinical duties, such as monitoring blood glucose levels, documenting vital statistics, conducting EKG exams, applying restraints, and addressing elimination needs to provide compassionate and attentive care for patients.
Helps in the preservation of unit inventories comprising supplies and medical equipment to maintain a sterile and secure environment following the National Patient Safety Goals.
Verifies the provision of correct wristbands, footwear, and signage for patients susceptible to falls to protect their physical welfare.
Assists in registering every clinical process, patient interactions, and medication utilization to uphold a detailed patient account.
Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
Handles any additional assignments as directed.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
