Overview:
The role of the RN Expeditor involves supervising the smooth flow of patients, pinpointing obstacles to prompt patient treatment, and taking proactive measures to address any emerging issues for evaluation. This individual plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided to patients within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive timely interventions to support their journey to healing. The RN Expeditor stays vigilant by staying connected through effective communication channels and utilizing accessible technological resources.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes understanding of healthcare structures, available support, and individual patient requirements to navigate individuals through their healthcare experience, guaranteeing they receive essential services and assistance.
Facilitates, gives priority to, coordinates, and intervenes promptly in clinical matters, eliminates obstacles to patient discharge, and handles care delays efficiently; pinpoints potential problems to help staff focus on patient care tasks and discharges, preventing bottlenecks in advance.
Collaborates with diverse groups of professionals to determine successful tactics to shorten the duration of a patient's stay, manage complicated discharge processes, conditional release directives, and associated concerns to guarantee a secure discharge for patients.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Required:
- Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 5 years Clinical Experience as a Registered Nurse with minimum of 3 years RN experience in the related field of Expediter role (Emergency, PCU/ICU, Procedural Area ) (Procedural i.e., PACU, Short Stay, Endoscopy)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
