Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the application of nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. Under general supervision, this role supports professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care using the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient demands and health conditions in the allocated unit to deliver nursing services that are customized to meet the unique care needs of each patient.
- Scrutinizes patient data, encompassing medical records, test findings, and current state, to construct individualized nursing care plans.
- Conducts nursing protocols, which involve medication administration and therapies, to provide comprehensive and effective patient care.
- Reviews medical records to reconcile information and ensure it meets regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Assessing the patient's response to interventions and identifying any further measures required to achieve the desired care outcomes.
- Teams up with interdisciplinary care providers to enhance care planning effectiveness.
- Carries through with other duties as tasked.
Education
- Required: Associate degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
