Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-caliber patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and proficient application of nursing knowledge. Operating under general guidance, this role supports the advancement of professional nursing practices by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various team members.
Essential Job Function
- Examines patient conditions and requirements within the designated unit to provide essential nursing care and ensure that each patient's needs are effectively met.
- Assesses patient data, which includes medical background, diagnostic tests, and current condition, to establish personalized nursing care plans.
- Formulates nursing strategies that incorporate medication dissemination and treatments to offer complete and successful patient care.
- Confirms the correctness of medical records to align with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Analyzes patient responses to interventions and pinpoints any additional interventions required to accomplish defined care objectives.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary care team to promote comprehensive care planning.
- Completes assigned tasks as necessary.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
